Min Yang has extensive business connections in the Asia Pacific region especially greater China and has over twenty years of hands-on experience dealing with both private and state-run businesses in China.
Over the years, Min Yang has proven her unique business insight and expertise in the identification, incubation and realisation of embryonic opportunities in the resources, commodities trading & residential estate and financial investment sectors.
She is also the Chairman of ASF Group and plays a significant role in shaping ASF as a creator and facilitator of two-way cross-border investments and trade transfer.
Mr Grant Thomas was appointed Non-Executive Director ActivEX Limited in July 2103 and Managing Director in February 2014.
Mr Thomas is a geoscientist with 30 years' professional experience covering mineral exploration, project acquisition, resource evaluation and valuations for several commodities, including copper, lead, zinc, uranium, coal, gold, diamonds, phosphate and fluorspar in Australia, China, South Africa, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Cambodia and Mongolia.
As Managing Director of Tianshan Goldfields Limited (ASX: TGF), Mr Thomas discovered the 2.4Moz Xinjiang Gold Mountain deposit (Xinjiang, China) and led teams that completed resource estimates, evaluation and pre-feasibility studies for the project.
As Managing Director of Celsius Coal Limited (ASX:CLA), Mr Thomas established exploration and mining operations in Kyrgyzstan and led teams that defined the first JORC code compliant resources of coking coal at Tuyuk and Kargasha deposits.
In previous Managing Director roles, Mr Thomas has completed several substantial capital raisings in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Prior to Tianshan Goldfields Limited, Mr Thomas held senior positions with Rio Tinto Exploration (Australia, Brazil and China) and Hamersley Iron and was involved in major projects such as Century and Dugald River (Zn/Pb), Westmoreland (U), and discovery of Homestead deposit (Fe).
Mr Thomas has consulted for Dragon Mining Consulting Limited (HK) primarily as a Competent Person and Valuer to various international and Chinese coal companies listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In this role, Mr Thomas completed Technical and Valuer reports, including JORC conversions, for several coal projects in Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang provinces of China and Tajikistan and gold projects in South Africa.
Mr Thomas' expertise includes exploration (several discoveries), project generation, project acquisition, resource evaluations and valuations, mine establishment and strategic planning; liaising with Australian and international Resource Departments, negotiating with foreign governments and joint venture partners; statutory and Stock Exchange reports; and presentations to companies, stockbrokers and financial institutions. Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor degree in Science from Adelaide University in Australia and is a Member of AusIMM and AIG.
Mr Baker is an Australian lawyer residing in HK and is also qualified lawyer in Hong Kong. Over the past 20 years Mr Baker has been active in China conducting a practice in assisting companies to do business in the region. Focused on corporate services and inward investment, he has been active in founding operational representative offices and investing in building businesses in China.
He also provides advice in: Mining and Resources, Finance; Telecommunications, Funds Management, Human Resources, Real Estate - development and retail, Overseas Listing and Fundraising, Franchising, and Intellectual Property. Geoff has helped many companies from around the world to operate successfully in China by guiding them through the country’s cultural, political, and regulatory spheres.
Previously, as a CEO of an Australian Investment Bank, Mr Baker specialised in mergers, acquisitions, and fundraising. This activity operated across various industries including specialising in overseas companies operating in Australia and investment in Asia. In 2002 Geoff set up the Beijing office of Deacons Lawyers and assisted in the development of the practice in China. Mr Baker's involvement in these wide-ranging fields and major projects has required him to work closely with many international companies.
Ms Ye holds a Master of Accounting from Macquarie University and is a Member of CPA Australia.
Ms Ye has worked with a firm of Chartered Accountants in Australia and has gained extensive experiences in the areas of business restructuring and tax planning in a number of industries both in Australia and Internationally. She also has extensive experience in corporate finance in Hong Kong and China and with Australian Listed Companies.
