The company’s management group is a dedicated team of experienced and motivated professionals with sound credentials in exploration and mining.
The Group is led by Grant Thomas (Managing Director) and Juli Hugenholtz (Exploration Manager) who have a proven track record in mineral discoveries. The Group has a high level of technical expertise and experience in the latest exploration technologies.
The core group of three geological staff are supplemented by geological and geophysical consultants where required along with a Field Assistant for field and logistical support. Specialist services, such as drilling and analytical services are provided by consultants and reputable contractors where required. With all these skills combined, the company has a firm base to build on its value.
Ms Juli Hugenholtz joined ActivEX Limited in April 2005. She was appointed Exploration Manager in September 2010.
Juli is a geoscientist with over 20 years varied experience in exploration for gold, base metals, nickel and manganese throughout Australia and New Zealand. She has significant experience in north Queensland, particularly the Cloncurry district.
She started her career as a contract geologist with Gnomic Exploration Services and then moved into project geologist roles with Cloncurry Mining Company, Eagle Mining Corporation, the Gutnick group of companies, including Great Central Mines and Centaur Mining & Exploration.
Juli helped establish a successful Perth based service provider to the mining industry, where she developed a diverse set of skills applicable to small resource companies.
Her experience has included project management responsibilities from grass roots projects through to intensive drill out campaigns.
She is skilled in GIS and computing applications, database management and tenement management as well as having experience in stakeholder liaison and company management.
Mr Josh Leigh was appointed Exploration Geologist for ActivEX Limited in May 2011 and Project Exploration Geologist in February 2013.
Mr Leigh is a geologist with more than 4 years' professional experience covering mineral exploration for several commodities, including gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, tungsten and coal throughout northeastern Australia.
Josh graduated from the University of New England in 2011 with a Bachelor of Geoscience, major in Mineral Deposits and researched aspects of Barambah low sulphidation epithermal Project in southeast Queensland to complete his honours in 2013.
Josh began his professional career as a Junior Geologist in 2010 in greenfields exploration for copper, gold and tungsten in the New England region of New South Wales, followed by coal throughout the Bowen Basin, Queensland before coming to ActivEX, exploring for copper, gold and silver as a Project Exploration Geologist in the Esk Basin/Trough, southeast QLD.
Josh recently graduated from the University of New England after completing his honours degree, researching aspects of ActivEX Limited's Barambah Project in southeast Queensland.
He has worked within the exploration industry for the past 4 years whilst completing his degree, gaining considerable experience in numerous deposit styles including low sulphidation epithermals, lithocaps, Cu-Au porphyries and polymetallic skarns.
Mr. Sean Ke was appointed Exploration Geologist for ActivEX Limited in July 2014.
Mr. Ke has over four years’ experience as an exploration geologist with professional experience mainly in copper, molybdenum and gold exploration in Inner Mongolia area, China.
Sean graduated from the China University of Geosciences in 2008 with a Master of Geoscience
(majoring in Stratigraphy) and researched deposit settings and geological characteristics of the Yunnan (China) Dalongtan gold deposit.
After his graduation, Sean started his professional career as an exploration geologist on a long-term perspective survey of copper-multi metallic minerals in Inner Mongolia, China. Based on
investigation of the landscape characteristics, and testing of the middle-large scale geochemistry exploration methods in forest/swamp areas in China, Sean made progress in theories and methods for deposit prospecting. His work has since been used in both exploration and mining environments.
In 2011, Mr. Ke continued his studies with the University of New South Wales and graduated as a Master of Mining Engineering (Mine Geomechanics). Through Sean’s professional career, he has demonstrated solid knowledge and gained experience in each section of mining industry, from geology exploration to mine development.
